A gray kindof girl

I get up in the morning and grab clothes for my kids out of their rooms, sometimes before they are even awake. I find that whatever I am wearing that day I usually get the same color of clothes for my kids too. Marin asked me a few days ago if my favorite color was gray because I am always wearing it. So Sunday as we are getting ready for church I realize that Marin, Ashton and I are all wearing gray and black. I am pretty sure I don't own anything that is orange, pink, purple, or any shade of green. Kind of a boring closet!

Greyson SMASH!!

One of the more popular christmas gifts was the large, very green hulk hands. They scream and yell at you and make crashing noises. Greyson thinks they are great and one night we were all watching tv and he comes out of the toy room with both hulk hands on. We started laughing and yelling, "Greyson, smash". He thought he was pretty cool.

Marital Plans

I love how my six year old daughter is worried about the whole marriage plan. She has been planning to marry her childhood sweetheart, Max Ramey. Every week a new concern arises as to what the ordeal will be like, how and when it will happen and what if someone changes their mind about it. This was our latest conversation.
Marin: So mom, will Max and I live here with you when we get married?
Me: Well, I really hope that Max will have a job and you can afford your own place.
Marin: I think we could just live in Idaho with my horse in the stables.
Me: I don't think a stable with horse manure would be very nice to live in, and I don't think Max would like it too much.
Marin: OH!

I know Max has said a few things like taking Marin to the temple on a four wheeler and having blue flowers at the wedding. Lisa, you will have to correct me if I am wrong on that.
I love my kids!!!!

Pregnancy tests are not popsicles

I have no pictures because my computer wants to die! I do, however have a funny story. I have saved the two pregnancy tests that I took when I got pregnant with Mesa and Ashton. Weird, I know but I am pretty sure those are the only positive pregnancy tests I will ever see again. I keep them in a sack in the bottom drawer in my bathroom. Somehow, someway Greyson happened to sneak in the bathroom, open the drawer and pull out the two things that are most precious to me. He comes walking out of my bedroom with a pregnancy test in each hand like they are popsicles. My first reaction was to scream and run at him to pry them out of his little hands. So he turns the other way and bolts like he can outrun me or something. As his little legs are turning over as fast as they can he decides to put one in his mouth. YUCK! Even though I am pretty sure the pee is dry as can be it is still gross. The pregnancy tests are now tucked safely in my unmentionables drawer in the closet.

Why does my house and the snow hate me?

Could it have snowed anymore today? I was honestly snowed in and didn't leave the house. I kept yelling for it to stop snowing and Marin just can't understand why I would want it to stop snowing. Last year we got ice dams on the roof and the water had nowhere to go except into my kitchen wall. We had to rip out the kitchen wall, our wall in the bedroom and Marins ceiling in her bedroom. Last week Aaron was in the theatre room and found a large bubble hanging from the ceiling. I guess my tub felt like leaking and ran down the wall right below it. So there goes another wall in my house. Then Thursday I pull in the garage from grocery shopping and I thought it was raining in my garage. I look up and the light fixture is dripping water from my garage ceiling. So another wall/ceiling in my home is ripped up. And the source of that leak is still a mystery. I am on the verge of some kind of emotional and mental meltdown. I thought homeowners insurance deductibles were meet like health insurance. If you meet it once in the year you don't have to pay again. Well, no. It is per incident. So that adds up to three incidents and lots of headache. So go away snow, You cause me stress!!!! I added a few pictures of Aaron's first snowblowing experience, he splatted a little bit on the side on the garage.

A hoppin night at kangaroo zoo

Of course Ashton had more say than Mesa about where to go for the birthday party. He was more excited about the cupcakes than anything else. I totally forgot to take a picture of the Diego and Tinkerbell cupcakes. My sister Josue kindly walked around and took pictures of the kids for me so I could visit with everyone. Mesa was exhausted when she got home. She usually goes to bed around 7 so this was one wild night for her. Easton and Phoenix were invisible that night, somehow I didn't get pics of them. Sorry!

It's your birthday and we are gonna party like it's your birthday

It's our twins' birthday. They are four years old today. It was quite a long road getting them to come to our family. Thank goodness for great doctors, nurses and my good husband. I look at Mesa and Ashton and my heart just swells up with happiness. I am so proud and love the little people that they have become. Happy Birthday to our sweet little babies!
