The car ride

Here is what a typical trip in the car is like with a two and a half year old who has the vocabulary of a college professor.

Mom, I got fruit snacks stuck in my teeth.
Mom, it's hot in here.
Mom, there's a car on the floor, will you stop and get it?
Mom, the window is dirty.
Mom, I don't like this song.
Mom, can I have a sucker?
Mom, can we go to the park after lunch?
Mom, that dog is looking at me.
Mom, it's cold in here.
Mom, my foot really hurts.
Mom, where is my drink?
Mom, where is Ashton and Marin?
Mom, what are we having for dinner?
and finally today he ended the dialogue with
Mom, I am freaking out back here, I am freaking out!
I am not kidding!

my gold medalist wrestler

I am so proud of Ashton and his hard work this year in wrestling. I think for a 5 year old all that wrestling entails is a little overwhelming. Practice two nights a week for 2 hours and then tournaments on Saturday. Plus parents who are passionate about sports and want to see our kids work hard. It was his first year and a little rocky. He did acquire about 6 medals and is proud to show them off.

a little sping cleaning

Marin and Ashton make me laugh every day. They are really good buddies and love to wrestle, punch and kick each other just for fun. Marin busted out 20 push ups last night and then challenged Ashton to do the same. So he did 40 instead. They measure each others muscles and tease constantly. Marin wanted to take this picture (the first pic) to make it look like she got the best of Ashton.
And after growing winter mops on their heads, Aaron finally cut the boys hair and now they look a little more wholesome and not so furry!

First of many!!

Today my little sister Emily gave birth to a girl. She was 7 pounds and they named her Payce. This is the first of 6 kids to be born into our family in the next few months. I have happily supplied all my sisters with baby clothes, toys, blankets and even over loaded a few of them. For some reason I had enough baby stuff to go around a few times. My littlest sister Josue has finally realized she is not dreaming anymore and she is really going to have triplets! I am so excited for her. I wish I could go stay with her for a few months and just squeeze and kiss those babies. Hopefully I will get to go for 5 or 6 days at least. Let the madness and lack of sleep begin!
