Good times

1. Thursday taking a baby gift over to a friends house, I slipped on some ice and fell down a
whole flight of stairs and twisted my ankle.

2. Get picked up by a cop, not for speeding, but because my registration is expired by a month.
And I have to say it does work to cry really hard so that you won't get a ticket.

3. Mesa gets RSV and doesn't sleep for about four days. Poor little sweetheart!

4. Get sick and up all night after eating way too much of my sister's really good popcorn.

5. And to top it all off, Ashton has a fever of 104 in the night and now I find out he has strep
throat ( he got a shot and will be fine soon)

Just waiting for the next child to get sick.......... ( I am being realistic, not pessimistic)
Good thing the sun comes up and I get to start over again tomorrow.

new office in Rexburg

Last weekend Prosper moved to a new office in Rexburg, quite bigger, so that it has room to grow. We took all the kids and stayed for a few days. I am sure my sister just loves when I come because with her six girls and our four there are ten kids in the house. But she is always welcoming! We made the rounds visiting and Aarons mom made a nice dinner. It was the first time we ate a turkey bought off QVC. Marin has a bit of a sweet spot for her Grandpa Ralph. He was out of comission after taking a tumble off the back of the tractor. It was sad to see that it was snowing in Rexburg too but what the heck did I expect, sunshine and rainbows?

Thirty somethingish

It's my birthday today and it was a great day. I have wonderful friends, neighbors and family. I got a package of cinnamon bears, a big sugar cookie, a coupon book from my kids and husband. A big tin full of mints (all my favorites), lotion, some babysitting from a friend and lots of phone calls. Then we all went to Tepanyaki's for dinner soooo good!!!! My brother made a calendar for our whole family with birthdays on it so we all would remember each others birthdays. He called me today about some weekend plans and I don't think it dawned on him that it was my birthday. But at least he made me a calendar and I love it. Thanks everyone.

packing on the pounds

This is what I give Greyson for meals:

Malt o meal with half a stick of butter and lots of brown sugar

Soy cheese, an avacado, whole milk and a cookie

Spaghettios (with the meatballs) and some toast with the other half of stick of butter

There are slight variations here and there but................

WE HAVE FINALLY MANAGED TO GET HIM TO 20 POUNDS! GOOD JOB GREYSON!!!!

Although we did cheat a little with turning the car seat around before we should. The kid is almost 18 months for heaven's sakes.

just passin the time

I love how my kids are so inventive. The good olde laundry basket can be anything. A ship, a bathtub for the imaginary dog we have and a cage to keep in the little destroyer so he doesn't smash the blaster 3000 that Ashton made with the kinex. (yes, Greyson is in the laundry basket that Ashton is proudly sitting on). The other pictures are a real moment when I think maybe Ashton was bonding with Mesa as he was spinning her in the wheelchair.

40 under 40

I have to brag about Aaron. He was nominated to for one of 40 successful executives under 40 years old in the Utah Business magazine that came out in January. He was interviewed and got his picture in the magazine. Pretty sure he was the youngest and best looking of them all. The web site is www.utahbusiness.com if anyone wants to check it out.

A Man What?

Ashton said something funny today. Greyson had the Mr. Potato Head bucket and was pushing it upside down across the tile floor. It was making this horrible sound like fingernails on the chalkboard. I asked Ashton to get it from him and take it back to the carpet. This is what Ashton said " Greyson you're not supposed to do that with the bucket, you're supposed to put things in it like a "man bag." "What, I said?" "A man bag, mom." "Umm, ok where did you hear that bud?" "Well, it's on Madagascar." "Right, I said." So if you don't want your son to think man bags are cool don't let him watch Madagascar!
